I wanted to monitor with Matrox real time DVI out to a P monitor and for the cutting the proxies worked great and now it conforms to the original 4K for color correction.

For future reference http: Are you also still on Windows 7? I upgraded to Windows 8 which is not supported by Matrox. It halts when it is loading exporter. I can use it for audio. If you're watching on matorx p monitor, you could even set up your timeline for and watch in full resolution.
